Biofuel Refinery Plant Demolition & Remediation

Demolition and remediation prior to sale of the property. Site was formerly used as a wood-to-biofuel refinery, metal smelting plant and wire manufacturing facility. All activities performed in a truncated time-scale as property was listed as unnecessary inventory, and as such they were intent on a quick sale. Demolition activities included the selective demolition of machinery to maximize the saleability of equipment. Use of cranes required for safe demolition. Remediation included treatment of subsurface soils across approximately 20 acres that were contaminated with both arsenic and copper.
