Key Highlights
- Site preparation activities included temporary silt fencing, fish removal, clearing & grubbing, cofferdams and by-pass pumping.
- Extensive traffic control plan implemented since the site is located in an area with high vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
- Reconstructed and repaired sections of culvert including:
- Removal of existing beveled ends of CSP culvert and existing culvert foundation;
- Installation of new galvanized corrugated steel bevelled culvert ends;
- Cut, chip, remove and dispose of loose and unsound concrete;
- Removal of 150mm strip of existing culvert floor;
- Repair corroded CSP culvert surface;
- Form, reinforce and pour new reinforced concrete foundation and slab;
- Repair and patch corroded steel culvert;
- Repair, patch and extend existing concrete storm sewer outlet;
- Repair and replace storm sewer pipe and catchbasin leads;
- Repair steel beam guide rail and end treatment;
- Supply and install vegetated crib wall with both structure material and bioengineering material; and
- Supply and install of native material and topsoil for slope restoration.
- Supply, place, grade and compaction of granular A, granular B and granite stone.
